MARILYN FORD

City President, Heartland Region – Central and Southern Kentucky, WesBanco Bank

The fifth of six children, Marilyn Ford was the first in her family to graduate from college. She entered the banking industry after graduating from Western Kentucky University and later attended the Kentucky Bank Management Institute and the Graduate School of Banking of the South at LSU. Over the past 40 years, she’s built a successful career while growing her commitment to serving the community.

“When I look back on my own personal experience, access to education is what made opportunities available to me,” she said. “The education available right here in our community though ECTC is so important. It’s accessible, affordable and convenient.”

The option to stay close to home was highly valued by her family when her son attended Elizabethtown Community College, and she was proud to see her granddaughter start ECTC in the Fall of 2021.

As a member of the ECTC Foundation Board, she looks to increase the number of people who have an opportunity to attend college and raise awareness of the value ECTC brings to the region.

Ford has a passion for giving back and supports multiple community organizations including Helping Hand of Hope, Heels Together, AUSA, Baptist Health Hardin and the Knox Regional Development Alliance.

She and her husband, Randy, live in Elizabethtown and have a son, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren.
